Last week, Pluto entered Aquarius for the first time since 1778.

If you’re following all the astrology experts on social media, you may have also heard that the American and French révolution occurred the last time this combo met in the sky. While this may be true, and it feels like the past is repeating itself, it is important to understand this cycle is not just about conflict.

Pluto in Aquarius dates:

March 23 - June 11, 2023

January 20 - September 1, 2024

November 19, 2024- March 8, 2043

Aquarius is the cosmic rebel. It will fight for a cause even if it means shocking people along the way. However, the fight is not without reason. Aquarius is a humanitarian. Everything Aquarius does has a profound heart-centered why behind it. Every fight Aquarius takes on is so that we all benefit. It brings us to the future by breaking the rules that no one is willing to challenge.

Pluto is the planet of rebirth. Think of it as the cycle of shedding the parts of the sign it is in that are not working. Through this shedding, there is a reclamation of power. Since Aquarius represents the collective, the next twenty years are about releasing what isn’t working for us ALL and reclaiming our sense of humanity. It is about inviting the future of how we work together (including how we relate to each other with technology).

The last era of Pluto in Aquarius was marked with conflict, but it was also marked with tremendous evolution. Herein lies cosmic compassion.

Pluto in Aquarius traveled through our skies during the beginning of the industrial revolution. Technology made production efficient while making certain goods more affordable. It feels like no coincidence that ChatGPT is in our life during a similar transit. While we can feel resistance to this technology, there is a possibility that after an initial growing pain, this tool will make room for the workforce to experience more fulfilling roles. Time will tell.

This transit also covered The Age of Enlightenment. While progress at times comes with some darkness, we cannot ignore the light that emerged from this cycle last time. What if the discomfort we are experiencing with this transit is so that we can remember how bright our collective futures can be when we work together?

In her book, The Stars Within You, Juliana McCarthy describes this combination as the "era of the humanitarian."

To me, if we are going to embody this era in that way, this combo feels like a sacred calling to a HOLY SHIFT.

This is a collective radical change.

How does this apply to me?
